I recently had surgery at St. Luke's and the care I received was excellent! I was told exactly what to expect and where to go each step of the way. My surgeon was Board Certified and used cutting-edge technology to perform my operation. My anesthesiologist never left my side and was with me when I woke up. I felt very safe and cared for. The compassionate nurses were excellent and advocated for me, meaning I didn't have to ask for a single thing! The facility was very clean and everyone I had contact with was friendly. They maintained my privacy at all times. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a phone call the day after discharge just to check up on me. I highly recommend St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital. They were the first Magnet Hospital in Texas and have been on the US News and World Report "Top 10 Heart Center" for 16 consecutive years! If I need medical care in the future, I know exactly where to go to find the very best in the area.

The love and care my father received here was outstanding. The Drs. really took a personal interest inhis progress and took time to sit down and explain everything going on to my mother and me. The chaplain came to see Dad twice during the week he was there, since we are not Episcopalians I thought that was very kind.

Arrogant Dr.'s (Cardiologists) at St Luke's led to my father-in-laws demise. However, the majority of nurses and other staff were outstanding, except for a night nurse who had no business dealing with people, let alone patients, and we had her removed from CV2. Cannot recommend this facility.

It may be a great hospital but it's still run by the Episcopal Diocese of Texas, home of the meanest Christians on Earth. Your soul is not safe here. I doubt that your body will be either. Linda McMillan Austin, Texas
