I had called to schedule new patient appointments,made them and on the day of my appointment the office called to tell me they could only perform x-rays because the hygienist had called out due to an emergency or i could cancel and reschedule. I asked her to look to up my file as their were to be 2 patients that were to be seen,when she looked it up she said "I dont see you down for cleaning just exam and x-rays, I said that wasn't what I had scheduled for and before I could complete my sentence she replied "Yeah well the hygienist isn't here anyways so what do you want to do?" I was appalled by her way of speaking to a customer so I replied thank you very much you have mentioned that already and I wasn't finished with what I was going to inform you I was going to ask for a reschedule however I can see that you are not very customer friendly there if that is how you speak to patients. I cancelled and she said "Are you sure? You're not even going to come in for the xrays? " I asked her to cancel both appoints for myself and my family member and that I was not even going to consider being a patient there due to her unprofessional phone etiquette. I believe if I were to go there and meet with staff that are like her I would be making a BIG mistake! Please see another dentist if you want to be treated kindly...I feel bad for the Dentist because he is going to continue to lose business due to his staffs office practice...I hope he reads this as well.
Too expensive! Better choices elsewhere.

I went to Southern Dental Associates and did not like my treatment. I made an appointment and got there early. After filling out some forms, I had to wait almost 30 minutes before being seen. They took some x-rays and then I waited some more. A dentist then examined me and told me how much it would cost to treat me. Then a financial counselor came by and asked when I wanted to start the treatment. I wasn't given a choice in treatment plans so I refused their treatment. Then, when I was leaving, they overcharged me. The American Dental Care plan offers better dentists with better pricing. Don't waste your time with Southern Dental Associates.

I was in the katy office the day my brother got his wisdom teeth removed. On his advice I made an appointment with the office for an exam ,on a tueday at 5 pm I did not like the wait time for the x-rays (about 40 mins) but however once it was done, the rest went pretty smoothly,I got a few fillings done and my cleaning. For the first time in my dental experience I found a dentist who listened (to my needs) rather than telling me what I need.I was impressed with the quickness and professionalism of his work and assistants.The hygienist was busy so the cleaning had to be done on a later appointment, but I was happy to be treated as a person and not as a tooth, also for a lot less!!!.

Big dental offices and group practices were not my thing but this one is unlike most. I was here for a quick exam and a wisdom teeth consult and the doctor was courteous and intelligent. He explained all the complications and post recovery time. Also I did not have to take a day off work since he works late hours, got my wisdom teeth out on a thursday for half the price it would have cost elsewhere, loved his assistants too,.. great job, found my family dentist.. P.S - The laughing gas really makes u laugh.
