Tracing the history of written records from Mesopotamian clay tablets from 3,000 BCE to the present day, The Museum of Printing History explores the story of written communication, both before and after the invention of the printing press. Changing exhibits cover a variety of topics and periods of time, and the museum also offers many classes and displays of various publishing and printing methods, modern and antiquated. Situated just a few miles west of downtown, the museum is near the Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens and Buffalo Bayou Park.
